The Office of Sponsored Programs and Federal Relations received $10.99 million in grant funding – a first in its 13-year history.     RALEIGH, N.C. (July 26, 2017) - Wake Tech’s Public Safety Education Campus has a new leader: Jeffrey Robinson, a seasoned law enforcement professional, has been named Dean and Chief Campus Officer of the Public Safety Education Campus. Robinson is responsible for daily operations at the campus and oversees its budget. 

    The Public Safety Education Campus offers degree programs in Criminal Justice and Fire Protection Technology as well as in-service training for law enforcement and corrections officers, fire and rescue personnel, EMS technicians, and SBI and Homeland Security personnel.     RALEIGH, N.C. (July 5, 2017) - The Wake Tech Foundation has two new hires who – together – bring more than 40 years of experience to the leadership team. Roxanne Miller and Meg Stradling will greatly enhance Foundation efforts to find and manage resources in support of the Wake Tech mission.

    RALEIGH, N.C. (June 8, 2017) ­- Dozens of Wake County high school graduates will enter college this fall with two years of college already under their belts! Seventy-seven students graduated from the Wake Early College of Health and Sciences on May 31 – the largest graduating class in the history of the school! Of those, 68 have earned associate’s degrees while completing the requirements for their high school diplomas. In addition, 14 students graduated with nurse aide certificates, and five more earned phlebotomy certificates. Altogether, the Wake Early College Class of 2017 earned a total of 4,307 college credits – the most ever!...

    RALEIGH, N.C. (June 14, 2017) - Dr. Stephen Scott, president of Wake Tech Community College, is proud to announce 1,613 students made the President’s List or Dean’s List for the Spring 2017 semester. 

    The 665 students who earned a place on the President’s List maintained a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0. The 948 students who made the Dean’s List maintained a GPA of at least 3.5. Honor roll eligibility is based on a minimum of 12 credit hours of curriculum courses for the semester.
